| Same my local Grand Cinema theater is screening the film at 7:00PM but I'm going to hold off until Friday to see it with my friends and bro.
I plan on seeing this movie at least 3 times, to show my support as a G-fan and to hopefully help GODZILLA at the box office in the long run of things.

| I'm probably going to see it more than that... I saw Pacific Rim 5 times in theaters, and I imagine that I'll have to at least do the same for Godzilla! | |

| Supporting Godzilla in the Box Office is top priority for all G-fans at this point, Tull Thomas said if Godzilla hits 450 million and above, than it'll break even and will be regarded as a success. Which gives more solid ground to a sequel, which I might add, will be discussed with Gareth Edwards on May 17th. So Godzilla's opening weekend and overall success is resting on our shoulders. I plan on seeing this movie at least 4 times, and I'll take pics of my movie tickets to show every last one of them together | |

| Really? Pacific Rim made about as much, but it wasn't regarded as a success, at least not as much of a success as aspected. If Godzilla's successful financially, I'm also hoping it'll encourage a Pacific Rim sequel, so we definitely should put as much support as possible into this movie! | |

Well it's budget was 180+ million, plus marketing expenses, so its overall box office had to be more than Godzilla to break even. Including with a poor opening debut, domestic success, and potentially not selling enough merchandise..Pacific Rim just wasn't the hit WB/LP wanted it to be. Which is why Tull has cleared that a Pacific Rim sequel will not be greenlighted. By no means was it a major flop or a bomb. It did fairly well to some extent, it just didn't do well enough. Which is quite unfortunate sadly. BUT...OniGoji I can't help but agree. GODZILLA must have a successful box office. Its debut opening is looking at 60-75 million which is a pretty good opening. Anything higher then that would be fantastic. So at least things in the beginning are looking bright. But when it comes to blockbusters, it's always a race, not a sprint in terms of box office profit. GODZILLA is going to need our highest form of support, seeing the film as much as possible, spreading good of the mouth(Unless the film isn't to your liking), and overall just showing our passion to Toho, Gareth Edwards and Tull Thomas. Because showing that we want more Godzilla, and enjoy the film means that sequels can be considered and that Godzilla's Resurrection will be secured. Well, technically, if GODZILLA is truly successful than his future will indeed be secured. But only if the film hits 450 million and up worldwide. So I'll be seeing this film as much as possible, and showing my support the best I can. Because personally for me, a decade without Godzilla is just too long of a hibernation. And I truly miss the Big G.
