| As a big fan of the Halo video game franchise, I felt that there should be a thread made available for anybody to discuss anything related to Halo, be it the games, multiplayer, or anything to do with the expanded universe! | |

| I've played a few Halo Games in the recent decade, from Halo 2, 3, and Halo Reach, but they were generally through a local friend and played his games. PRetty much played the multi-player aspect of the games, they were addictive! I was a monster with the needle gun! And with the invisibility orb power-up, I could do near perfect assassinations in the later games lol But I never do that tactic more than once, after you first use of the tactic, doing it again would make players catch onto your plans of action lmao
Never got to Halo 4 or the Anniversary Halo game, but I'm sure they were received well enough!

| Well for me, one of the game types that I strongest with is the Rock & Rail variant in Halo 4; You're equipped with a backpack with a fast cooldown period, and a Rocket Launcher and Railgun, both with unlimited ammunition... I swear to God, if you go up against me in that game mode, I WILL KILL YOU FASTER THAN YOU CAN BLINK WITH MY RAILGUN!!! Turns out that I'm very good at picking off airborne targets with the Railgun [the unlimited ammunition does help, since I don't have to be conservative with my shots!], and I'm also pretty hard to hit while in the air, at least that's what it seems; it's hard getting the opprotunity to play in this mode, since most people go for that Husky Raid CTF mode... | |

| Dude! HALO games are insanely awesome! Halo Reach and Halo 2 are my top favorites, although I have to say the progression of the games have been welcoming. To be able to use jet-packs was awesome, and engaging in firefights were mindblowing. The only thing I didn't like were the damn snipers and being ran over my vehicles lmao
But hey, my gaming motto during those matches is, if I can't kill you, no one can! Sticky Grenade to the foot and suicide bomb next to you, and take your life from the grave! lmao

| Does that actually work, going kamikaze when you get stuck with a plasma grenade? I've tried to do that, but it never seems to work. | |

| Going Kamikaze actually does work, quite well if you know how to keep close quarters. If you're cornered by someone and are about to be killed, or anticipate being cornered and killed, you plasma grenade yourself a few seconds before any of that happens.
This brings out two outcomes, the first is that you die but you take a life from the grave. The second outcome is the opposing player is smart and fast enough to escape death by either fake-out, or armor lock, or simple basic evasion. Kamikaze doesn't work when it's expected, at best you knock some health off before uselessly dying off.

| How do you stick yourself with a plasma grenade, do you throw it at your feet? | |

| Yes! You throw it down on your feet, and than you're pretty much a ticking time bomb literally lol But of course, when that doesn't work during a game, than you could always road rage (Run people over with Ghosts or any other vehicles xD), I personally hate getting ran over. Seriously, it's painful to watch whatever killing streak you have be ended by a noob running people down like a maniac xD That and Tanks! | |

| i love the original two on the xbox halo combat evolved and halo 2. halo 2 is one of my favorite first person shooters of all time. i liked halo 3, reach, 4, and odst quite a bit. halo wars is the only one i hate though. cant wait to get the halo 2 anniversary edition but first i'll have to buy an xbox 360 because for the most part im a SONY fanboy i got a ps1,ps2,ps3, and ps4 but i really wanna play some halo 2 online so ill make sacrifices. | |

| Well I hope they are making an anniversary addition for Halo 2, since that'd be the only way to play Halo 2 multiplayer, since they deactivated the original Xbox Live network.
So far I've stuck to Halo 4's multiplayer, I'd like to go back to Halo Reach's multiplayer soon, and also try out Halo 3 and ODST multiplayer, just to see the difference in gameplay [besides, Halo 3 is the only game with lot's more vehicles and dual wielded weapons!]

| I suspect Microsoft to potentially re-release the Halo Games onto the Xbox One. It seems like the only legitimate way of enjoying a last-gen console game upon the newer generation devices. PLUS! It would be a helpful way to keep fans at bay until the next Halo game is finished. | |

| I made an interesting little discovery while playing a game of Heavies on Halo 4; they brought back the heavy weapons/vehicle mode for multiplayer, and finally we can use wraiths in multiplayer! [at least it's the first time I've been able to use them in Halo 4] Anyway, this putch apparently drove a wraith into a cubby hole and got it lodged so tight that nobody could get it out, which I initially discovered when I jumped into it, and I thought I might at least use it as a stationary artillery piece, so I fired a couple of shots... and I couldn't help but notice that the wraith had appeared to budge... So I put her in reverse, fired off three or four more shots, and the recoil from firing the plasma cannon was actually enough to pop the wraith loose!!! Thank God for realistic in-game physics! | |
