Hyo-Jin(The Abominable Beast)

Hyo-Jin's general appearance is that of a monstrous ape-like cryptid beast with frost blue fur, and furry blue tuffs on his knees. His skin is generally greyish purple while his chest having a blue tone in coloration. His chest is harden with a rigid cage to help withstand heavy impact from any devastating attack from opponents. When enraged, his eyes flare a light blue, although normally they are frost white, beyond that his other features consist of sharp primal fangs, sharp claws, and a bulked build.
Personality: Hyo-Jin is a creature who fights and defends for the sake of protecting his home and protecting his people. He will fight with all of his might, putting everything on the line in defending what's his. In a fight within an area that is inhabited by life of any kind, Hyo-Jin will purposely take the fight elsewhere, not wanting to endanger any life almost as if they were his own people for as much as possible. Once there is no sign of any life being in danger of his battles, Hyo-Jin will then proceed in fighting full force. While a creature of instinct, Hyo-Jin can think above his primitive mindset, capable of displaying reason and emotional understanding. This makes him a fearsome opponent to not underestimate, but also makes him a beast that could potentially be an ally in defending the world.
Origins:
Hyo-Jin is a monstrous abominable yeti who remained dormant in hibernation within Tyscho, a lost region hidden within the Himalayas. Legends tell of its wrath, destroying numerous settlers who dared intruder upon its territory. Soon enough, a cruel emperor had ventured into the realm of the beast. Seeking to expend his reign by building his kingdom directly in the land itself. To do this, the emperor ordered the execution of Hyo-Jin! The battle between man and beast, gruesome and bitter did the war rage. However the weak peasants of the ruler witnessed an unknown side of the legend, as the beast only attacked his uniformed foes, while those who weren't, were shielded away from his fury. In the end, Hyo-Jin destroyed the emperor's army and the cruel ruler himself. However, the war had left the giant weary and weakened. In their gratitude of being freed, the peasants offered food to the beast, never leaving his side until the legend had fully recovered.
In response to such kindness, instinctively, the creature had decided to accept the peasants within his territory. Protecting them as assets of his home. In time, settlements began to form, and soon was born the small ancient village known as Ytayo. Who worship the legend of Hyo-Jin's existence, even in present day. Hyo-Jin's presence would have remained peacefully unknown to the world, if it weren't for the destruction of Gormaru.
Having exhausted most of his reserves from his previous battle, Gormaru had wade in pursuit of a hidden gamma reactor that was being built in secrecy within the Tyscho region by the organization KIRIN. Sensing its traces to the region itself. Upon discovering this, KIRIN prepared in defending their incompleted base, while relocating their gamma reactor into the recently discovered, Ytayo village.
Ytayo wanted no part in the war against mankind's inhumanity, and while they reluctantly accepted KIRIN's existence within the same region, they detested their acts in wanting to draw their fight into the security of their homeland. Because to them, any consequences born from one's actions must be dealt by the one who created them. Even at the possibility of lives being lost if they did no help, being involved in mankind's fight would destroy what little life they had managed to maintain from the arrogance of man's destruction that ravaged the global twice. A destruction that had forced them into the Tyscho region.
Inevitably, despite powerful resistance from KIRIN's forces, Gormaru's might had yet to be matched, and thus tore through the organization, his rampage now set straight for Ytayo. With what little time they had, KIRIN's more noble enforcement tried to help the village evacuate, but the people trusted that their god would save them. Praying to a craved totem pole shaped in Hyo-Jin's likeness within the heart of their home, the villagers worshipped to their savior without pause.
Storming into the village, Gormaru reduced everything in wake to mere rubble, such devastation was just the beginning, for his wrath was just starting to boil. However, the presence of the Atomic Horror disturbed the terrifying presence of another. Rousing from his slumber as he heard the rising of his people and danger of the forces outside his icy tomb, the powerful Hyo-Jin tore through the mountain side of his resting place. Ready and willing to challenge the horror that crumbled his land.
The two titans clashed thunderously, crushing mountains to rubble and leaving deep scars into the land. It wasn't until the two monsters carried their battle over a cliff and into a deep nearby lake, along with them felled many lives and the transport that contained the gamma reactor. Rising from the icy depths, both monstrosities decided to conclude their fearsome battle. Clashing with their most potent abilities, a thunderous impact erupted, engulfing the two beasts completely. As the mist settled, frozen mounds of ice towered within the heart of the lake.
On looking eyes gazed out onto the structure, their breaths tightly held in place as they looked for any signs of life. The wait soon ended as a quaking rumble echoed from the icy prison, and from its emptiness emerged Gormaru, his strength restored from absorbing the gamma rector. With much surprise from both Ytayo and KIRIN, the atomic horror had decided to change course and leave the Himalayas for reasons unknown.
Villagers, praying that their god had survived the encounter, returned to the totum. It wasn't until the roar of their savior howled throughout the heavens were their prayers answered. Hyo-Jin had deterred Gormaru and saved not only his home, but his people as well. But it remains unknown to the beast as to why Gormaru ended the battle so abruptly, and upon sensing the stirring of other monstrosities within the world, Hyo-Jin felt it would not be the last time he engages in battle, and perhaps it would not be the last encounter he has with the horror known as Gormaru. For any threat that challenges his people, Hyo-Jin will seek it out with fierce challenge.

Here's the next major update, Hyo-Jin's Character Sheet! Fully completed! This was in fact completed some time ago, redoing his origin bio took a while to fit in with Gormaru's story. Although it should be noted that Hyo-Jin is the third kaiju Gormaru fights within his series. The next update will be another monster reveal! Although before that, I'll have to handle an important art-trade for :iconcyprus-1: Which has been long overdue for quite some time now.
So I'll be checking in on that!
Inspiration time! Hyou-Jin is inspired by the Yeti(Obviously) and the Wendigo(to a fair extent). In terms of 1950 film inspiration, the Snowman helped give me a nudge of creative inspiration and spark for my monster. The decision to make him more of a defender came from the fact that I needed more, "heroic" forces to battle against Gormaru. Something that represented a near opposite of what Gormaru was.
